Oral history interview with Walter G. Jaggi, 1987.

Interview conducted by Jessie L. Embry as part of the LDS German-Speaking Oral History Project by the Charles Redd Center for Western studies at Brigham Young University. Jaggi tells about growing up in Logan, Utah, about speaking German in the home, and about the Logan 10th ward where many German-speaking Mormons met. He also tells about his mission to Germany and Switzerland in the 1930s. He gives his impression of Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) and explains what he believed Hitler to have known about the Mormon Church. Jaggi claims to have personally heard Hitler comment on Mormons including, "If we want to become a great and mighty people, we have to endure the the Mormon pioneers."
